RULES FOR ALL DIVISIONS
· ALL MANAGERS MUST CALL IN SCORE AND PITCHERS WITHIN 24 HOURS TO THE END OF THE GAME
· The Babe Ruth rule book and The Little League Rule Book for all general rules will be followed in the NTB. For example, strike zones, definition of a batter, and re-entry rules are in effect for all divisions.
· Each division or age group has specific parameters that supersede any rule book.
8 Year Old Division-
· 6 innings
· 4 outfielders
· NO force plays at 1st with 4 outfielders
· 3 extra hitters allowed…Maximum hitting lineup is 13 batters…10 players and 3 extra hitters. Use of an extra hitter is managers’ discretion.
· Bunting is allowed.
· Tagging up is permitted.
· In-field fly rule is in effect.
· Stealing 2nd base is allowed only.
· No advances on overthrows on stealing attempts. Runners remain frozen.
· Overthrows of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd bases on a hit ball runner is allowed to attempt advance.
· Only the umpire can grant timeout….BUT any player can call timeout. Managers can instruct a player to call timeout, not the umpire. The play needs to be considered “over” by the umpire to grant timeout.
· Pitching Rules: 8year olds have a 3 inning maximum per game. 6 inning maximum per week, Monday to Sunday. 48 hours rest is needed if more than 2 innings is pitched in a game.
· 10 run mercy after 4 innings. Equal at bats always in effect.
· Game is considered official at the end of the 4th inning.
9 Year Old Division- · 6 innings
· 3 outfielders
· LIVE BALL-Stealing of all bases. Ball must cross plate before runner leaves to steal. If 1st early attempt is safe, ump will return runner back to previous base. If 2nd attempt is early the runner is out. This is a team rule, not a particular runner rule…one warning per team.

· 2 extra hitters allowed…Maximum hitting lineup is 11 batters…9 players and 2 extra hitters. Use of an extra hitter is managers’ discretion.
· Bunting is allowed.
· Tagging up is permitted.
· In-field fly rule is in effect.
· 51ft. X 75 ft. Diamond
· 2 hour time limit on ALL SPRING GAMES
· Balks called after 1 warning per pitcher. Balks will be called on flagrant attempts to deceive runner at the umpire’s discretion.
· Pitching Rules: 11-12 year olds have a 7 inning maximum per week, Monday to Sunday. 48 hours rest is needed if more than 2 innings is pitched in a game. There is no maximum per game.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION RULES
Max bat size is 2 5/8 negative three
7 inning games
2 1/2 hour time limits on games
2 EH hitters allowed
game official after 5 innings.

JH rules will be followed with the exception of allowing 2 EH's and we allow re-entry of starters only!!

once a pitcher is removed from the mound he can not go back to the mound that same game.
